ABACUS LOGISTICS LTD

Abacus Logistics Ltd is a family-run logistics company with over 100 vehicles servicing the container ports of Southampton, London, and Felixstowe. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Junior Traffic Operator to join our busy Southampton transport depot.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Transport Planners and Operators with day-to-day operations
  • Accurately check container releases and acceptances with depots and ports
  • Ensure compliance with vehicle operations legislation, health & safety, and other regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service to meet SLA requirements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, drivers, and subcontractors

Ideal Candidate:

  • Some knowledge of transport/logistics (advantageous, but not essential – full training provided)
  • Hard-working, self-motivated, and eager to learn
  • Strong team player with good communication skills
  • Able to build positive business relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Resilient, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
