Job Purpose As the Junior Translator at Tarjama&, you will be responsible for translating, reviewing, and delivering high-quality multilingual content while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to client requirements. The role supports translation projects through effective use of CAT tools, terminology research, glossary maintenance, and quality assurance processes to ensure clear, culturally appropriate, and linguistically accurate deliverables. Duties & Responsibilities Translation & Quality Assurance Translate content accurately while preserving meaning, tone, and intent. Proofread and review translated materials to ensure linguistic quality and consistency. Conduct final quality checks and sanity reviews before delivery. Ensure translated content is clear, readable, and appropriate for the target audience. Maintain source formatting and file integrity in delivered translations. Terminology & Linguistic Resources Verify terminology and conduct research to ensure translation accuracy. Utilize approved glossaries, translation memories, and reference materials. Assist in the creation and maintenance of glossaries and other linguistic assets. Adhere to client-specific linguistic guidelines and quality standards. Tools & Process Compliance Use CAT tools and translation technologies to enhance productivity and consistency. Apply Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) techniques where required. Ensure proper management of tags, references, formatting, and other technical elements within CAT tools. Collaboration & Communication Communicate proactively with Project Managers regarding project status, challenges, and deadlines. Collaborate with linguists and quality teams to resolve terminology and language-related queries. Escalate issues related to source content, terminology inconsistencies, or project requirements. Support additional language-related tasks as assigned. Education, Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, or a related field. 0–2 years of experience in translation, localization, or a language-related field. Valid Professional Practice License (Translator License) as required by applicable regulations. Strong command of source and target languages. Familiarity with CAT tools and translation technologies. Knowledge of translation quality standards and best practices. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good communication and teamwork skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
