Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Enter loan applications into core software systems. Prepare and mail initial disclosures as required.
  2. Review and analyze financial documents including credit reports, income documents and other relevant documents to determine applicants credit worthiness and risk level.
  3. Make loan recommendations based on the Credit Union’s Lending Policies, Guidelines and Product Matrices.
  4. Issue loan decisions for personal loans, auto loans, indirect loans and equities within approval authority.
  5. Review all home equity and mortgage loan applications for accuracy and completeness and prepare initial and closing documents within the TRID guidelines along with reviewing financials, credit and collateral.
  6. Verify that conditions of approval have been satisfied prior to closing. Review of financials, credit and appraisals with the Loan Origination Manager.
  7. Coordinate closing activities and prepare documents as necessary.
  8. Communicate the status of loan applications to all appropriate parties.
  9. Maintain your own job knowledge and skill level needed to meet the requirements of the position. (increase knowledge of different types of income and collateral)

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide backup support to Mortgage Originators with mortgage applicants.
  • Assist in any area of the Consumer Lending Dept as required by the Loan Origination Manager.
  • Maintain the required level of quality and quantity of work.
  • Work within procedural limits of position.
  • Ensure credit union confidentiality.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting in accordance with regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in educational conferences, seminars and workshops to maintain knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations.
