We are looking for a Junior Underwriter in Liability, based in Copenhagen, as part of the Underwriting Liability team. The Impact You Will Have You will play a pivotal role in driving underwriting excellence, contributing to both growth and profitability by assessing and pricing risks accurately. A proactive approach will support new business acquisition and client retention, while ensuring compliance with underwriting and contract standards. You will help secure favorable participation, pricing, and terms and conditions. With ownership of accounts and clients, you'll help increase profitability and foster enduring relationships. Maintaining connections with brokers and clients will help sustain business growth and ensure client satisfaction. Some of your specific responsibilities could include: You will underwrite new and renewal accounts in line with underwriting authority to meet profitability and growth targets. You will support the acquisition of new business and retention of existing accounts through broker and client engagement. You will prepare underwriting information, including market research, claims data, and risk analysis for informed decision-making. You will ensure underwriting compliance with governance frameworks, guidelines, and contract certainty standards. You will support international insurance program administration and coordinate cross-border transactions. You will build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders to support business objectives. What You’ll Bring to the Role You have a degree in Law, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. You will analyze portfolio performance and apply market insights to ensure competitive, profitable pricing aligned with customer and business needs. You will support the development and implementation of clear, robust contract wordings to maintain consistency and mitigate legal risk. You will apply your understanding of products and portfolios to underwrite profitable business. You will build and maintain strong peer-level relationships with brokers to support business development and retention. You will leverage knowledge of the local insurance market and competitor landscape to guide underwriting strategy. You will ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to underwriting practices You have a willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role and the broader organization is expected.
