  Day Kimball Health is hiring for a Junior Volunteer Coordinator for Volunteer Department as a 40 hour Temporary role (6/22/2026-8/17/2026) 1st Shift in Putnam, CT.   Junior Volunteer Coordinator Summary: As the Junior Volunteer Coordinator, you will be a vital member of a dynamic team responsible for… Coordinates and assists in the direction of the Summer Junior Volunteer Program.   Junior Volunteer Coordinator Job Responsibilities: * Provides training and on-going supervision of the Junior volunteers.                   * Schedules the Junior Volunteers daily.                                                           * Coordinates and assigns Junior Volunteers throughout the hospital.     * Develops an evaluation instrument and conducts on-going evaluations and end-of-summer evaluations * Performs special projects and fundraisers as assigned, and assists the coordinator as required * Performs additional duties as may by required under the direction of the Coordinator of Volunteer Services * Assists with other duties as assigned Junior Volunteer Coordinator Education and Experience Requirements: * High school graduate or equivalent. * Computer skills required. Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Publisher and mainframe system entry * Ability to make decisions, assess problems and determine whether to refer to a supervisor. Understanding and tact in dealing with patients, families, visitors, and/or volunteers. Maintains discretion in handling the confidential nature of the information in the department and  hospital.  Ability to adapt to a variety of situations, changes in duties and department requirements.  Displays verbal ability and clerical perception.  Knowledge and understanding of hospital policy, and the ability to communicate to a diverse population.
