SUMMARY: The public area cleaner is a key individual in providing a 4 diamond experience through interactions with guests as well as providing a clean and welcoming environment the second guests walk through the front door. The public area cleaner must ensure that all public spaces meet our 4 diamond expectations for cleanliness, as well as assist our guests with all of their requests in a timely manner. They must also ensure positive interdepartmental relationships as they will interact with all departments throughout the hotel. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Maintain the cleanliness of the following spaces - Concierge lounge restroom - Hospitality suites - Pool and fitness center - 2nd floor pre-function space and restrooms - 1st floor public area including Margaux restrooms - Lower lobby - Associate locker rooms • Must be able to communicate orally and verbally in English (Preferred) • Deliver all guest requests within 15 minutes • Work independently to ensure all areas meet our 4 diamond cleanliness expectations • Perform deep cleaning projects throughout the public spaces and back of the house areas to ensure a pristine environment for the guests and associates • Must be able to sweep, mop, vacuum, and use floor scrubbing equipment • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor REQUIRED SKILLS: • Must be reliable; willing to work weekends and holidays • Able to use different types of chemicals • Requires the ability to work independently and follow directions as assigned by supervisors • Must have a keen eye for detail • Must be comfortable entering restrooms of the opposite sex • Must keep cart clear of unapproved items to avoid damage EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred • Related experience is preferred.
