We partner with schools and organizations nationwide to build capacity, strengthen systems, and advance equity-driven results. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced K–12 Curriculum Development Consultant to join our network of expert consultants. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in designing, implementing, and evaluating rigorous, equitable curriculum across both charter schools and traditional public school systems. In addition to K–12 curriculum design, candidates with expertise in adult learning and professional development curriculum are highly encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Design, adapt, and implement curriculum aligned to state standards, charter goals, and organizational priorities. Conduct curriculum audits and identify gaps in instructional materials, pacing, and alignment. Collaborate with school leadership and instructional teams to ensure curriculum meets diverse learner needs. Provide professional development and training for teachers on curriculum implementation. Support schools in integrating culturally responsive practices into curriculum design. Design adult professional learning curriculum, including workshops, asynchronous modules, and leadership development content. Apply adult learning theory and culturally responsive practices to support teacher, leader, and staff capacity-building. Develop train-the-trainer resources and implementation guides for sustainability. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: K–12 curriculum development, ideally in both charter and traditional public school settings, with strong knowledge of state and Common Core standards, assessment practices, and instructional frameworks, OR Adult learning curriculum design, including professional development for educators and leaders, with knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design principles, and facilitation best practices. Experience designing and delivering professional development for educators, school leaders, or nonprofit staff. Exceptional written, verbal, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices. Candidates with experience in both K–12 curriculum development and adult learning curriculum design are strongly preferred. Compensation $45–$85 per hour depending on experience. This is a contract-based, project-dependent role. Consultants are engaged as independent contractors and will only be offered assignments and compensated when client work is available. Stronger Consulting is building a pool of HR consultants to draw from as we expand our client partnerships.
