OVERVIEW

Sarasota Academy of the Arts, a small academic charter school with visual and performing arts infused, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to inspire creativity and foster artistic skills in our Kindergarten-8th grade students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in art education and a commitment to nurturing the artistic potential of each child. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, facilitating art projects, engaging in community projects and providing a supportive learning environment that encourages self-expression and exploration.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or related field is preferred.
  • Florida PRofessional Teaching Certificate in Art or related
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly in early childhood education or childcare.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies.
  • A passion for the arts and a commitment to fostering creativity in young learners.
