POSITION OVERVIEW:

In your role as a Music Teacher, we embrace a child-centered approach where you will create a safe, well-ordered classroom. You will bring your solid understanding of the national curriculum standards and how to close the achievement gap. In your role you will be tasked with developing and engaging innovative lesson plans that allow our students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally with an opportunity to incorporate technology and hands-on learning experiences into the classroom. The ideal candidate will share our passion for collaboration with other colleagues and promote understanding and communication in a diverse learning and cultural environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Comfortable teaching in a religious school
  • Must have at least 1 year of teaching music experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
  • Must love working with children
  • Must be authorized to work in the US

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Experience working with children, preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively and often with parents and families
  • Well-established instructional skills and classroom management
  • Enthusiasm for and demonstrated mastery of subject matter
  • Unrelenting commitment to students, self, and school’s constant learning and development
  • Ability to self-reflect on teaching practices and be responsive to feedback

Responsibilities
  • Set and reinforce clear expectations and routines that are aligned with the school’s overall vision.

  • Thoughtfully plan daily lessons and implement specific strategies to meet the needs of all students, providing extra support, enrichment, or variation of work when necessary.
