Key Responsibilities: Deliver lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the regular classroom teacher. Continually assess student achievement and maintain appropriate assessment and evaluation documentation for institutional and individual reporting purposes. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement. Plan and implement appropriate instructional and/or learning strategies and activities, including determination of appropriate kind and level of materials, provide appropriate learning experiences, manage allotted learning time to maximize student achievement, and utilize a variety of instructional materials and available multi-media and computer technology to enhance learning. Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners and accommodate individual learning styles. Collaborate with school staff and administration to support student learning and address any challenges. Continually communicate with students on instructional expectations to keep them informed of their progress in meeting those expectations. Participate in in-service and professional development activities and staff meetings, as required or assigned. Follow school policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines. Substitutes are Paid Weekly. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited United States institution in a related field. Valid teaching certification/license for the state or province of assignment (preferred). Previous experience working with children in an educational setting. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom environments.
