The Boeing Company is looking for a K-9 Handler (Mid-Level or Senior) to join the team in Everett, WA.
Boeing is looking for an experienced and motivated K9 Handler to join a team of experts focused on supporting the mission to protect company people, property, and information. You will utilize standard processes, tools, and templates required to enable a compliant and robust program. The primary focus of the program is to enable effective preparation for, and efficient response to, emergencies and disasters in order to save lives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years of experience working with K9 Explosive Detection
  • Completed an accredited K-9 Explosives Ordinance Detection Course

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience handling an explosive detection K9 in an operational role
  • Current CDL with Hazardous Material endorsement
Responsibilities
  • Protects company assets by conducting screening, emergency response and K-9 training and care
  • Sweeps aircraft, cargo, vehicles, buildings, etc. for explosives
  • Identifies risks and participates in processes that require integration across functions
  • Responds to emergency assistance requests by operating specialized tools, equipment and apparatus
  • Documents incidents and participates in after-action reviews to meet requirements with internal/external support personnel
  • Coordinates maintenance training for internal and external Explosives Detection Dog teams
  • Trains less experienced personnel with security and/or K-9 related tasks
  • Provides K-9 demonstrations for safety and education events
  • Maintains required certifications and licenses
