In line with our business expansion, we would like to invite qualified and candidates to fill the following position at FGV Security Services Sdn Bhd Job Description 1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE To manage and operate K9 (canine) units in maintaining security and enforcing safety procedures within assigned areas. The role ensures effective utilization of K9 dogs for patrol, detection, and enforcement operations, supporting the overall safety objectives of FGV Security Services. 2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / INDIVIDUAL ACCOUNTABILITIES K9 Handling and Operations Handle and supervise K9 dogs during patrol, detection, and enforcement duties. Conduct daily training, obedience, and conditioning exercises for the assigned K9. Maintain control and command of the K9 during all operations to ensure safety and efficiency. Deploy K9 units strategically for patrolling, crowd control, and detection tasks as directed. K9 Welfare and Maintenance Ensure the health, hygiene, and welfare of the K9 under supervision at all times. Monitor the dog’s diet, exercise routine, and behaviour, reporting any irregularities immediately. Arrange timely veterinary treatment and maintain accurate health and vaccination records. Keep K9 kennels and related equipment clean and in good working condition. Security and Enforcement Duties Support security operations by conducting regular patrols and inspections within assigned areas. Assist in special operations (e.g., detection, tracking, or perimeter enforcement). Prepare and submit reports on K9 patrol activities, incidents, and performance outcomes. Enforce relevant security policies and procedures in compliance with company and legal requirements. Coordination and Reporting Liaise with the Head of Post and Security Operations Officer regarding operational schedules and readiness of K9 teams. Assist in the preparation of operational reports, including daily and monthly activity summaries. Support training and evaluation sessions for other Auxiliary Police members on K9 procedures. Other Duties Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors related to security operations and K9 management. 3. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, Law Enforcement, Animal Science, or related field from a recognized institution. Candidates with relevant professional training or certification in K9 handling or law enforcement will have an added advantage. Experience: Minimum 2 years of working experience in law enforcement, military, or security field. Experience in K9 handling or canine unit operations is highly preferred. Eligibility: Malaysian citizen aged between 21 and 35 years old. Candidates from Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) or Armed Forces (ATM) background are encouraged to apply. Physical Requirements: Minimum height (without shoes): 163cm (Male); 157cm (Female). Minimum weight: 50kg (Male); 48kg (Female). BMI: Between 19–26. Must pass physical and visual fitness tests and not be color blind. Skills and Competencies: Strong discipline, responsibility, and teamwork orientation. Skilled in animal handling, obedience control, and safety awareness. Capable of working in outdoor and high-pressure environments. Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
