We are seeking a passionate and experienced kaiako to join our whānau, in Ngā Kete o Te Ao Māori, with experience in teaching English across NCEA Levels 1-3. Te Aka Taumatua is a new team that leads our bilingual and immersion te reo Māori provision for full-time, tamariki, rangatahi and dual registered ākonga at Te Kura. Te Aka Taumatua is still in its developmental stage but remains focussed on its role in the revitalisation of te reo Māori, to offer comprehensive options grounded in mātauranga Māori for ākonga and their whānau.

This role presents an opportunity to shape the next generation of young Māori leaders while contributing to the revitalization of te reo Māori and preservation of Māori performing arts. The successful candidate will join a supportive whānau committed to excellence in Māori education.
