Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role  Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Kairuruku - Research Assistant (Technology & Diagnostics) to join Te Tātai Hauora o Hine - National Centre for Women’s Health Research Aotearoa on a 12-month fixed-term, part-time contract. The Kairuruku - Research Assistant  (Technology and Diagnostics) will support the delivery of ongoing research activities, primarily related to the implementation of kaupapa Māori research projects which involve point-of-care testing: * Be responsible for overseeing point-of-care testing platform performance. * Liaise with project managers and team members to manage platform and testing consumables. * Keep clear records of activities involving point-of-care-testing. * Contribute to, and support the Centre's vision, mission, and strategic goals. Ō pūmanawa - About you You will be a motivated individual with the relevant skills who can take the initiative, have excellent time management and can work independently but also collaborate as a team member.  Key requirements: * A tertiary qualification, or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field (e.g. molecular biology). * Laboratory-based experience that require skill and independence. * Understanding of kaupapa Māori research. * Interest in contributing to work that seeks to advance knowledges and upholds mana, whakapapa, and the aspirations of whānau for healthy futures. * Excellent attention to detail.
