Responsibilities
  • Adhere to and follow kitchen standards and procedures
  • Ensure best practices in preparing and presenting Kaiseki dishes, continuously seeking to improve existing techniques to higher-level chefs
  • Oversee and ensure the quality and accuracy of each dish produced
  • Organize, prepare, and maintain mise en place for the shift, ensuring all ingredients and tools are in place for the team
  • Assist in managing kitchen inventory, ordering, and ensuring sufficient stock at all times
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
  • Work closely with Sous Chefs and other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and effective communication
  • Ensure all health and safety standards are followed in food preparation and handling
  • Take part in training and mentoring junior team members
