Lead Manufacturing Engineer Job Summary: The Lead Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement, optimizing CNC and assembly processes, and improving overall production efficiency. The Lead Manufacturing Engineer partners across teams to ensure high-quality output, reduced waste, and scalable manufacturing systems. Lead Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities: • Drive Lean initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, standard work) to improve efficiency • Optimize job routings, SOPs, and workflows • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions • Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams • Improve CNC machining and assembly processes • Support engineering change control and BOM accuracy • Develop SOPs and improve operator workflows • Enhance throughput and reduce cycle times • All other duties as assigned by management Lead Manufacturing Engineer Skills and Competencies: • Strong leadership and communication skills • Expertise in Lean manufacturing principles • Deep knowledge of CNC machining processes • Ability to read and interpret GD&T drawings • Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset Lead Manufacturing Engineer Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience • 5+ years manufacturing engineering experience • Experience in CNC environments required • Knowledge of ERP systems and process documentation • SolidWorks and CAM familiarity preferred Physical Requirements: • Sitting/walking for extended periods • Occasional bending, lifting up to 25 lbs Work Environment: Manufacturing environment requiring PPE such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe shoes.
