Description Kaspar Outdoors Job Description Rifle Repair Customer Specialist Role Summary: This is not a back-room builder role. This is a customer-facing technical role that requires both craftsmanship and ownership. This role owns the full lifecycle of rifle service and custom builds. You are the point person for returned rifles, customer issues, and final product quality. You will diagnose, repair, test, and communicate directly with customers to ensure every rifle meets our standard before it leaves, and that every customer has an excellent experience. What You Will Own • Full ownership of the RMA process from intake to return • Direct communication with customers regarding issues, expectations, and outcomes • Diagnosis and repair of bolt action rifles including accuracy, feeding, extraction, and function issues • Range validation including zeroing and accuracy confirmation • Final quality control before rifles ship back to customers • Support of custom rifle builds with a focus on precision and reliability • Documentation of issues, fixes, and trends to improve product quality over time • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace What Success Looks Like • Customers trust us more after a problem than before it • Rifles return performing at or above expectation • Issues are solved once, not repeatedly • Clear communication with customers and internal team • Continuous improvement feedback into product and process Skills and Competencies • Strong customer service mindset and communication skills • Ability to confidently diagnose and repair bolt-action rifles • Comfortable shooting and validating rifle performance on the range • High attention to detail and ownership mentality • Mechanically inclined with hands-on problem-solving ability • Organized and disciplined in documenting work and outcomes Qualifications • Experience with firearms, specifically bolt-action rifles • Experience shooting and understanding rifle performance and accuracy • Prior gunsmithing or mechanical repair experience preferred • Ability to communicate clearly with customers in both written and verbal formats • Commitment to firearm safety at all times • Ability to lift 40 pounds Work Environment • Mix of bench work, customer communication, and range time • Indoor and outdoor work in varying conditions • Hands on technical work requiring focus and precision Benefits • Health insurance • Vision insurance • Dental insurance • 401k • Paid time off • Profit sharing
