KELOWNA OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

Docker Transport Inc. is a fast-growing, service-driven short-haul delivery company specializing in appliance and furniture deliveries. We’re known for our professionalism, operational excellence, and strong client relationships. As we expand in the Kelowna region, we’re seeking a hands-on, digitally capable Operations Supervisor to lead local delivery operations and ensure smooth, compliant service delivery.

POSITION OVERVIEW

This role is the operational heartbeat of our Kelowna region. You’ll oversee daily logistics, supervise cross-dock activities, manage client communications, and enforce safety and compliance standards. You’ll be the first point of contact for delivery teams and clients, starting early each day to ensure everything runs smoothly.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2–4 years in logistics, operations, or safety administration.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, DispatchTrack, and cloud-based tools.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean abstract.
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Familiarity with safety practices and National Safety Code requirements.
  • Experience in construction or project coordination is an asset.

DIGITAL SKILLS MATTER

This role requires regular use of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other digital tools. Candidates must be comfortable navigating these platforms to communicate, document, and collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Start early (5:30 AM) to coordinate truck loading and delivery schedules.
  • Supervise cross-dock operations including receiving, staging, and outbound loading.
  • Maintain and update site profiles and conduct pre-delivery callouts.
  • Conduct site inspections and enforce safety protocols.
  • Communicate with clients and builders to resolve issues and provide updates.
  • Support damage claim investigations using IssueTrak.
  • Onboard and train new team members; monitor performance and foster team engagement.
  • Submit weekly reports and maintain accurate delivery documentation.
  • Collaborate with the BC Operations Manager on disciplinary actions and team development.
