WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Confident and comfortable engaging with customers to deliver a positive experience
  • Experienced Runner with a love of the sport and of the running community
  • Part Time Store Assistant manager 20-30hrs/week.
  • Motivated to achieve great results because of one’s enthusiasm for the running, walking, and fitness environment
  • Love of learning and ability to grasp new concepts and product knowledge quickly
  • Self-motivated to complete tasks or activities with little supervision
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written English
  • Available weekdays and weekends!!

WHAT WE DO:

The Running Room sells running shoes, apparel, accessories, nutrition, and electronics. More importantly, we help people start running and keep running. We offer and advice and encouragement to every single person who walks through the door, whether they’ve just started exercising or they’re seasoned ultra-marathoners. We’re about helping people find the right fit or perfect product, not about aggressive selling. We take pride in what we do, keep learning so we can provide expert advice, and never take ourselves too seriously. (Oh, and we have awesome employee discounts!)

Responsibilities
  • Be a friendly and knowledgeable resource for every customer, answer customer questions, and make product recommendations
  • Connect with every customer by asking open-ended questions to assess needs
  • Share the responsibility of running the store with the manager
  • Operate the cash register and use the computer for business tasks and product research
  • Keep the store clean, tidy, and attractive by following merchandising standards
