About the Role: We are seeking a Kennel Worker to join our team at Wright Veterinary Medical Center. As a Kennel Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our animal guests. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for the animals, as well as providing excellent customer service to their owners. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our guests are comfortable and happy during their stay with us. Minimum Qualifications: * Experience working with animals in a professional setting * Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Ability to work a flexible schedule, weekends and holidays required Preferred Qualifications: * Certification in animal care or related field * Experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter * Experience working with exotics a plus Responsibilities: * Feeding, watering, and exercising animals according to schedules and feeding instructions * Cleaning and sanitizing animal quarters, equipment, and facilities * Assisting with animal handling and restraint during medical procedures * Providing excellent customer service to pet owners, including answering questions and providing information about our services * Maintaining accurate records of animal care and treatment Skills: As a Kennel Worker, you will use your animal husbandry, and animal handling skills on a daily basis to ensure the health and well-being of our animal guests. You will also use your sanitization skills to maintain a clean and safe environment for the animals. Additionally, your customer service, front desk, and data entry skills will be utilized to provide excellent service to our clients and maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment.
Responsibilities
The Kennel Worker will be responsible for feeding, watering, and exercising animals according to schedules, as well as cleaning and sanitizing all animal quarters and facilities. They will also assist with animal handling during medical procedures and provide excellent customer service to pet owners.
