REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong knowledge of industrial protocols and PLC integration (Rockwell, Siemens, Fanuc, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with SQL databases and Python scripting in Ignition.
  • Familiarity with aerospace CNCs and inspection equipment (Mazak, Okuma, Zeiss CMM, etc.).
  • Understanding of digital thread, smart factory concepts, and real-time data in aerospace.
  • Working knowledge of industrial cybersecurity and segmented OT/IT networks.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ignition Certified Developer or experience with Gold Tier integrator projects.
  • Knowledge of MQTT Sparkplug B, edge devices, and IIoT architectures.
  • Experience with aerospace FAI (AS9102), SPC, and quality reporting systems.
  • Prior exposure to aerospace compliance audits (NADCAP, AS9100).
  • Background in connecting legacy aerospace machines through retrofit/gateway solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and support Kepware KEPServerEX solutions to connect aerospace equipment, sensors, PLCs, and enterprise systems.
  • Develop Ignition SCADA applications for monitoring machine health, production status, genealogy, and inspection data.
  • Integrate real-time data into MES, ERP, and Quality systems for traceability and compliance with aerospace standards.
  • Configure industrial protocols such as OPC UA/DA, Modbus TCP, Ethernet/IP, and other automation interfaces.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and IT teams to deliver dashboards, alerts, and reports.
  • Support connectivity for CNCs, CMMs, test rigs, and legacy aerospace manufacturing equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, NIST 800-171, and ISA/IEC 62443 cybersecurity standards.
  • Document system architecture, tag hierarchies, and change management procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize live production-critical systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for smart manufacturing and digital thread adoption.
