Description About the Role: The Key Account Advisor is a strategic, hybrid role at Landus, responsible for managing key relationships with farmer-owners and delivering tailored solutions across both agronomy and grain marketing. This position blends the responsibilities of agronomy and grain sales, ensuring that customer needs are met holistically and driving business growth across multiple service areas. As the primary point of contact for your assigned accounts, you will leverage deep expertise in agronomy and grain marketing to guide customers, identify opportunities, and drive integrated solutions for success. Your focus will be on building and nurturing long-term relationships, cross-selling Landus’ full range of services, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (Agronomy, Grain, Acre Edge, Innovation) to enhance customer satisfaction. You will embody Landus' core values of Agility, Courage, Teamwork, and Speed (A.C.T.S.) in all customer interactions and internal collaborations. What will you do? Sales, Prospecting, and Business Growth: Drive sales in both agronomy and grain services, prospecting for new business and expanding relationships with existing customers. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects, ensuring continuous business growth. Consistently develop new agronomy and grain accounts, while identifying cross-sell and up-sell opportunities across Landus’ integrated services. Drive business growth by promoting agronomy services, grain marketing solutions, Acre Edge, Innovation, and other services that contribute to customer success and Landus’ strategic objectives. Agronomy Expertise and Grain Marketing Integration: Demonstrate expertise in crop management, soil health, pest management, and other agronomy disciplines to meet customer needs. Provide in-depth guidance on grain marketing, including market conditions, pricing strategies, and risk management. Help customers maximize profitability by integrating grain marketing solutions with agronomy recommendations. Leverage your understanding of both agronomy and grain marketing to create value for customers, identifying opportunities to optimize operations across both fields. Team Collaboration and Leadership: Build and lead customer-focused teams that bring together Agronomy, Grain, Acre Edge, Billing, CSMs, Relationship Specialists, and other internal stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions. Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure that operational tasks, such as customer support, billing, and dispatch, are handled effectively, allowing you to focus on sales and relationship-building. Event Support and Engagement: Actively participate in and support customer-facing events, including Innovation Center and Grain Innovation events. Encourage customer participation, positioning these events as valuable networking and growth opportunities. Use events as a platform for relationship-building, ensuring that customers are educated on the full range of Landus services and positioned for success. Documentation and Transparency: Ensure that all customer interactions, meetings, and related activities are thoroughly documented in CRM. Maintain visibility and transparency by sharing relevant customer insights across teams (Grain, Credit, Agronomy, etc.). Collaborate effectively with Grain, Credit, Agronomy, and other teams, ensuring that all customer-related information is shared, allowing for seamless follow-up and action. Focus on the Farmer: Build lasting relationships with both current and future farmers by anticipating their long-term needs and focusing on customer loyalty. Actively engage with the next generation of farmers, ensuring that relationships extend into the future and contribute to sustainable growth. Professional Image and Representation: Represent Landus with a high level of professionalism. Ensure your appearance is neat, clean, and consistent with Landus’ standards. Sales & Business Development: Strong sales acumen with a proven track record of prospecting, generating leads, and closing deals. Experience in driving revenue growth and meeting sales targets. Customer-Centric Approach: Demonstrated ability to build and nurture long-term relationships with farmer-owners and key accounts, focusing on customer satisfaction and business success.
