Job Description An exceptional and strategic leadership opportunity exists for a Key Account Director - Group Travel, Pacific, based in Sydney. This pivotal position offers the scope to significantly influence and drive Accor's Group Travel strategy across the entire Pacific region. You will assume overarching responsibility for the account management of all Groups, securing substantial revenue growth from existing accounts through best-in-class practices and the development of mutually beneficial strategies. Furthermore, you will directly manage a strategic portfolio of accounts, formulating innovative strategies to expand ALL Accor's market share across relevant accounts and segments. This role is ideal for a results-oriented sales leader with a proven track record in strategic growth and team leadership within a complex, global business environment. Getting to know the role and your responsibilities This is a high-impact role where you will: Lead Strategic Planning: Drive the development of strategic and tactical plans for Groups, Meetings & Events, Sports & Entertainment business across Accor’s Pacific portfolio, ensuring alignment with overarching commercial objectives. Generate New Business: Spearhead new business acquisition initiatives across all group segments, leading proactive sales efforts to secure incremental revenue and expand our market presence. Oversee Portfolio Performance: Provide strategic direction to account management teams, ensuring the delivery of robust revenue performance from their designated portfolios, and lead negotiations for significant commercial contracts. Foster Key Relationships: Serve as the critical liaison between our diverse hotel network and corporate sales functions for Group strategy, cultivating strong, influential relationships with key clients and industry partners. Develop High-Performing Teams: Lead, coach, and mentor a geographically dispersed sales team dedicated to Group Travel. You will establish clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration and achieving outstanding results. Qualifications What we need from you To excel in this influential leadership position, you will bring: Education: A bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field. Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience within the hotel industry, with at least 5 years specifically in a senior sales leadership capacity, demonstrating significant achievement. Proven Impact: A demonstrated ability to consistently drive and enhance sales performance across a diverse and extensive hotel portfolio. Strategic Acumen: A keen strategic mindset, adept at identifying growth opportunities and translating them into effective, actionable commercial strategies. Leadership Excellence: Extensive experience leading multi-site sales teams, recognised for cultivating a collaborative, results-driven, and empowering team culture.
