THE EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in business administration, preferably with a focus on sales, trade or marketing, or comparable qualification
  • At least 5+ years of professional experience, either in key account management, category management, trade marketing, field sales or marketing required
  • Knowledge of international trade
  • Results oriented, entrepreneurial, and self-motivating.
  • Action-orientated, with a focused and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • Displays Essential Home core values of Achievement, Teamwork, Entrepreneurship and Commitment and collaboration across multi-country teams.
  • Proficient in dealing sell-out data and ability to analyze this data professionally
  • Highly numerate and analytical skills, including strong computer literacy skills (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Sales systems software experience).
  • Good interpersonal and time management skills. Must enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Confident interaction at all levels within the Essential Home organizations.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to visit the countries Action operates in
  • Speaking Dutch fluently is mandatory.
  • Fluent English is required.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Action is the fastest growing and leading non-food discount retailer in Europe. Action has now close to 3.000 stores with multiple store openings per day and operates in new countries every year. Reckitt is priority supplier for Action and growing double digit. For Essential Home, Action is one of the biggest customers. The KAM in the Action team, located in the Netherlands, will report directly to Head of Action and plays a crucial role in the Action customer team. In this role you manage the Action EU business, driving Net Revenue, Gross Margin, and Trade Investment outperformance.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

In summary, you’ll be responsible for the following:

• Engagement in customer negotiations, including prices, conditions, consideration and joint business plans

  • Main point of contact for Action buyers and buying assistants on day-to-day basis
  • Visiting the customer every month to strengthen the partnership by discussing new initiatives
  • Responsibility for the budget in terms of planning and monitoring compliance with annual meeting, listing, etc.
  • Monitoring and implementation of sales and contribution margin targets at brand and country level
  • Participate in regular business reviews with the countries including KAM and TM
  • Continuous analysis and improvement of sales and earnings potential
  • Analysis and optimization of the distribution, listing, placement and price situation including best practice sharing in all countries
  • Analysis and evaluation of the relevant customer KPIs across EU
  • Close cooperation and coordination with the local (discounter) teams in the countries Action operates in
