Job Title: Key Account Manager
Location(s): Remote
Compensation: $130,000 – $160,000 - OTE
About this position
Advantech, a leader in the Industrial PC market, has an immediate opening within our key account sales team as a Key Account Manager. The ideal candidate will be driven and self-motivated, exhibiting the ability to break into new accounts and manage new projects to closure. The candidate will be required to identify and review engineering specifications, coordinate and propose product configurations, negotiate sales and service contracts, while interfacing with Class I Railroad, Public Transit SI/OEM accounts, enterprise accounts, and eco-system partners.
The candidate should have experience in the Public Transit and Railway industry or Industrial Networking/Computing market, engaging with large OEM key accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing on strategic sales objectives to meet customer needs
  • Formulize and execute strategy to developing new business
  • Growing the target account base year over year
  • Meeting or exceeding set quotas
  • Leverage advanced domain knowledge to create a competitive advantage
  • Promote Advantech products and participate in tradeshows to generate new leads
  • Interfacing with channel partners and key account contacts
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time
  • Providing information to cross-functional teams by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in-person
  • Communication with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail
  • Handling complaints, setting disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others
  • Analyze information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems
  • Travel to assigned Key Accounts to conduct QBRs, Solution days and present proposals
  • Position Advantech as strategic business partner

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience selling into transportation, renewable energies and industrial markets is preferred
  • Willingness to travel in target territory
  • Strong understanding of the technical requirements in computer hardware and embedded electronics
  • Experience selling into OEMs, End Users, Integrators, Resellers in Public Transit and Railway industry
  • Successful candidate should have 3-5 years’ sales experience with embedded, networking and computer system level products
  • Self-starter, team player, positive attitude who can work independently without constant supervision
  • Understanding of embedded and networking systems is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
