  • 5 years plus experience in hospital and office based account and key account management
  • Experience with product launches (Biosimilars, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology)
  • Good understanding of the science of medicinal products
  • Experience in contact with KOLs in defined therapeutic areas
  • Work experience in healthcare environment in Rheumatology, Hepatology, Biosimilars, Generics
  • Ability to make business plans and execute them
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and presentation
  • Evidence of strong selling ability
  • Digital skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight time deadlines
  • Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment
  • Knowledge on broad commercial awareness and tactical

ABOUT THE ROLE

As ADVANZ PHARMA continues to strengthen its position as the partner of choice for specialty, hospital, and rare disease medicines, we have an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join our newly-created Biosimilars Sales team within our German affiliate.
We are rapidly building a diverse portfolio of biosimilars across multiple therapeutic areas, and as a Key Account Manager in the Biosimilars team, you will play a crucial role in launching a number of Biosimilars products within your region. This is a high-profile role, and we are looking for an exceptional Key Account Manager who will have the chance to directly contribute to the growth of innovative treatments that provide more affordable alternatives to biologic medicines.

  • Identify and map all relevant accounts and stakeholders and implement strategies to ensure the fast uptake and sustainable growth of our products including launch of Biosimilars products in the area of value-add medicines

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Account Management:

  • Identify and manage key accounts, including hospitals, healthcare institutions, and specialty clinics.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers in healthcare settings, including doctors, hospital administrators, pharmacists, and procurement managers.
  • Develop tailored account strategies to meet the needs of each key customer, ensuring optimal market access for biosimilar products.

Sales & Market Development:

  • Promote and sell the company’s biosimilar portfolio to key accounts, achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Lead negotiations and manage contracts for large accounts, ensuring compliance with pricing and tender processes.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase market share and ensure the adoption of biosimilar products.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create customer-specific promotional materials and educational content.

Product Launch and Support:

  • Oversee the introduction and launch of new biosimilar products in key accounts, ensuring all stakeholders are properly educated about the benefits and science behind the biosimilars.
  • Provide clinical and technical support to healthcare professionals and institutions as needed.
  • Organize and attend key customer events, including conferences, seminars, and symposia, to support product visibility and customer education.

Market Intelligence & Reporting:

  • Gather competitive intelligence, customer insights, and feedback to guide product positioning and identify market opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and customer needs to keep the company informed and competitive.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and forecast data in CRM systems.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback for internal stakeholders.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing, medical affairs, regulatory, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address any issues related to product availability, regulatory requirements, and post-sales support.

Training & Development:

  • Continuously update knowledge of biosimilars, therapeutic areas, and market trends to provide accurate information to healthcare providers.
  • Participate in training programs and company-sponsored education to improve product knowledge and sales techniques
