HealthPartners is currently hiring a Key Account Manager – Care Delivery Accounts. This role accelerates strategic growth by retaining and expanding large, high‑value accounts through proactive partnership, strategic insight, and measurable value delivery. As the primary relationship lead, this role coordinates cross‑functional teams to deliver integrated health care strategies that improve outcomes, manage costs, and elevate the member experience. The position serves as a trusted advisor, ensuring each client receives customized, high‑impact solutions tailored to their needs. The Key Account Manager plays a critical role in supporting HealthPartners’ largest and most complex care delivery clients, driving sustainable growth, revenue, and margin. This position involves occasional travel throughout the year attending strategic partnership meetings, health fairs, and open enrollment events. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Care Delivery Accounts and is part of our Major and National Accounts Health Solutions team. Within this team, experienced Account Managers collaborate with dedicated Client Service Specialists to deliver exceptional service and strategic solutions. The role will also collaborate closely with the VP of Major and National Accounts, Senior Account Managers - Care Delivery Accounts, and Client Service Specialists to ensure seamless client support and partnership. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Five (5) years of sales/account management experience in the health care industry. Proven success managing large, complex clients with multi-site and/or national operations. Minnesota insurance license within 3 months of hire. Current, valid, unrestricted Driver’s License (in the state of residence) free of major traffic violations or a pattern of repeated violations for the last 3 years and daily access to a dependable, insured vehicle. Deep understanding of health care administration and funding models. Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively at all levels within the organization. Proficiency with computer software and contact tracking programs. Content expertise in disease management, case management, and disease prevention. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, Health Administration, Public Health, or related field. Ten (10) years of account management experience in the health care industry. Expertise in the business dynamics and operational models of care delivery systems. Clinical experience. Hours/Location: Monday – Friday; core business hours This is a hybrid position. The current expectation is to work onsite one day per week (Wednesdays) and as needed for internal or client meetings. While there are no plans to change this schedule, it may be subject to future adjustments. This position requires occasional travel—approximately 10% annually—throughout Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, South Dakota, and North Dakota to attend strategic partnership meetings, health fairs, and open enrollment events. Responsibilities: (15%) Drive client retention, on a profitable basis, through proactive service, strategic insight, and measurable value delivery. (15%) Serves as the primary point of contact for health care strategy and execution, owning the overall client relationship. (15%) Build deep, consultative relationships with client stakeholders, including HR, benefits, finance, and executive leadership. (10%) Develop and maintain relationships with lead consultants and/or brokers on accounts. (10%) Develop and maintain strategic business plans that align with the client goals, industry trends, and organizational capabilities. (10%) Translate complex health data into actionable insights, collaborating with internal clinical, product, and operational teams to ensure solutions are evidence-based, scalable, and measurable. (15%) Proactively engage clients to understand their goals and identify opportunities to expand client relationships by recommending additional HealthPartners products or services that align with their evolving needs.
