We have an exciting opportunity for a technically and commercially astute superstar to take on this Key Account Manager role. About the role Reporting to the Market Manager- Coatings, our new Key Account Manager will service and develop Key Accounts to drive sales. Responsibilities include: Build and maintain relationships with customers Initiate and develop customer account strategies including customer requirements and market strategies Monitor customer satisfaction with IMCD’s delivery of products and services Develop recommendations for business growth by obtaining customer, competitor, and product information from the industry Assist with budget and business planning including inventory movements Preparation of tenders with a focus on achieving objectives and sourcing and submitting required information Assist in investigating and resolving customer concerns Maintains of data in Salesforce for assigned customers About you Qualification- Tertiary Qualification in the relevant field (e.g. Chemistry, Cement Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering) or extensive experience in the industry. Experience- Prior experience in a similar role within industries such as Coatings, Construction, Cement, Adhesives, Printing or Packaging is essential. Time within manufacturing would be desirable, but not a must. Technical Knowledge- You will have the technical knowledge required to understand customer requirements such as the formulation and application of resins, coatings, construction chemicals, adhesives, sealants and other related raw materials. Well-developed communication skills – you will be communicating and building relationships across all levels within and outside IMCD A can-do attitude – our values are central to all that we do.
