Description

At Fire Safe Services, we don’t hire you based on your job title. Titles can be misleading and rarely tell the full story of your skills and experience. Instead, we’re on the lookout for exceptional individuals who can demonstrate their expertise in the areas outlined below. You don’t need to tick every box; if you can confidently discuss some of the experience we’re after, then we’d love to hear from you. We won’t overlook talent just because your career path doesn’t follow a traditional trajectory.
What sets us apart is our commitment to seeing beyond your CV. We invest in people who are ready to grow with us and want to be part of a company that genuinely values their potential. Many organisations talk about growth, but we’ve already achieved significant milestones, and we’d be thrilled to share our journey with you. Let’s start the conversation.
The role we’re hiring for is an Account Manager to join our team based in our Bromsgrove office. We are looking for a proactive and commercially driven Key Account Manager (KAM) to manage and grow strategic client relationships within the fire and security systems sector. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring service excellence, driving revenue growth, and identifying opportunities to expand business through cross-selling and upselling of fire detection and security system solutions.

CAN YOU SHOW EXPERIENCE IN SOME OF THESE AREAS?

  • 3–5+ years of proven experience in account management or sales within the fire and security systems industry, with strong knowledge of fire detection systems, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm solutions
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and contract negotiation skills, with strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple accounts under tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards, including NSI, SSAIB, and relevant BS/EN standards.
  • Proficient in CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and quoting software; holds a full UK driving license for travel to client sites if required
Do you see yourself reflected in the description above? If so, we encourage you to submit your application today. Uncertain whether your skills align perfectly? Don’t hesitate to apply regardless; we value candidates with diverse skill sets and will carefully consider all applicants.
Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary contact for key clients, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and strategic alignment through tailored fire and security solutions; identify new business opportunities including upgrades, service contracts, and new installations
  • Prepare and deliver client proposals, quotations, and SLAs, and negotiate contracts, renewals, and pricing to meet sales targets and profitability goals
  • Work closely with technical, design, and operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery, while monitoring contract performance, SLAs, and client feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, standards (e.g., BS 5839, BS EN 50131), and competitor activity; maintain accurate account records using CRM software
