Cherry Bekaert is seeking a Key Account Manager (KAM) to strengthen strategic relationships with our most valuable Private Equity clients and their portfolio companies. This role is pivotal in driving growth across audit, tax, and advisory services, ensuring exceptional client experience and alignment with Cherry Bekaert’s integrated service model. The KAM will serve as one of the primary relationship contacts for designated Private Equity funds and portfolio companies, coordinating across service lines to deliver tailored solutions that address complex needs throughout the investment lifecycle—from deal sourcing and due diligence to post-transaction integration and exit planning. As a Key Account Manager, you will: Serve as a strategic advisor and relationship leader for designated Private Equity funds and portfolio companies, working closely with C‑suite executives, deal teams, and operating partners. Build and maintain long‑term, trusted client relationships across the investment lifecycle, from deal sourcing and due diligence through integration and exit. Develop and execute value-driven, client-facing initiatives that enhance engagement and expand impact. Create and manage account plans aligned to client priorities and Cherry Bekaert’s Key Account Management playbook. Drive cross-service collaboration across Audit, Tax, and Advisory to deliver fully integrated, proactive solutions. Identify white-space opportunities across portfolio companies and work with service-line leaders to pursue growth. Coordinate with engagement teams and SMEs to ensure seamless, high-quality delivery across all services. Monitor independence, compliance, and risk considerations across multi-entity client relationships. Track performance metrics, including pipeline development, revenue generation, and account health. What you bring to the role: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required. CPA or MBA preferred. 10+ years in client-facing account management, client service, or business development within professional services. Proven success managing complex, multi-service Private Equity or financial services relationships. Strong understanding of audit, tax, and advisory services relevant to PE funds and portfolio companies. Exceptional relationship-building capabilities, with strong negotiation, communication, and strategic planning skills. Ability to navigate independence rules, regulatory considerations, and compliance frameworks. Proficiency with CRM tools, account management platforms, and data analytics used for account strategy.
