Job Description - Global, ASX-listed market leader in Supply Chain Solutions - One of the World’s most sustainable companies - Own a strategic Key Account portfolio and unlock growth across VIC & SA As a valued member of our Sales & Customer Solutions team at CHEP Australia, the Key Account Manager (Produce) manages a portfolio of strategic customers across VIC & SA for retention and growth, with a strong focus on building long-term partnerships and delivering mutually beneficial commercial and operational outcomes. This is a newly created role designed to strengthen our Key Account coverage across Victoria and South Australia (“KAM South”) and support consistent, responsive customer support. You’ll work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, run structured account review rhythms, and progress initiatives that improve supply chain outcomes for our customers while delivering sustainable performance for CHEP. This role will ideally be based in Melbourne (preferably Derrimut, VIC) with a hybrid working arrangement and travel across VIC/SA as required. . Key Responsibilities May Include: Manage relationships with major customers, ensuring alignment with CHEP’s strategic goals and delivering revenue growth while achieving customer satisfaction targets. Collaborate with senior leadership and internal teams to create and implement strategic account plans, with a focus on identifying growth opportunities, optimizing costs, and promoting sustainability. Lead high-level negotiations and commercial tenders, securing favorable terms that meet both business objectives and customer expectations. Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, driving incremental revenue and expanding CHEP’s market presence within your portfolio. Conduct regular business reviews and audits with customers, ensuring compliance with CHEP’s annual audit plan and maintaining accurate asset management records. Monitor and assess account performance metrics such as NPS and customer satisfaction, developing and executing action plans to address areas for improvement. Build and sustain relationships with stakeholders at all levels within customer organizations, driving strategic initiatives and improving supply chain efficiencies. Lead cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, value-added services and solutions that meet customer needs and promote mutual growth. What will ensure your success in the role: Experience in Key Account Management (or National Accounts), ideally with growth-focused exposure (business development or expanding customer partnerships). Commercial acumen - confident interpreting financial/commercial information and translating it into customer plans and actions. A structured approach to account planning, pipeline management and review cadences (e.g., QBR-style rhythms). Advanced negotiation and influencing capability - able to balance customer outcomes with commercial discipline. Strong communication and presentation capability - credible with senior stakeholders and able to tell a clear commercial story. Curious, analytical and proactive - you dig into detail, ask great questions, and turn insight into practical actions. Relationship-first, customer-centric style - listens to understand, adapts approach, and builds genuine partnerships.
