Description:

A fantastic career opportunity currently exists for a dynamic and motivated individual to join Raizcorp as an Key Account Manager.
The primary role of the Key Account Manager (KAM) is to ensure that the allocated key accounts renew with Raizcorp, the accounts grow in revenue, additional relationships are forged, and existing ones deepened and that additional opportunities are explored through cross selling and upselling.
The KAM’s role comes into effect as soon as the Principal signs their contract or the sales brief is submitted to the business and Raizcorp starts to find and/or filter the businesses. In some instances, it may be necessary for the KAM to get involved earlier. This will be at the discretion of the Sales Manager (SM).

Responsibilities:

The Key Account Manager key responsibilities include:

  • The KAM is the custodian and caretaker of all accounts that have been assigned to them and are required to service and support them by carrying out the following:
  • Regular relationship visits to the Principal in line with the departments prescribed standards.
  • Supporting the Supplier Development Manager (SDM) by providing them with the Principal details so that they can set up Facilitated Buyer Meetings and Meet and Greets.
  • Deliver and presentation of quarterly reports to the Principal.
  • The KAM timeously engages the Principal about their renewal by holding discussions and presentations where needed.
  • The KAM produces the renewal contract and briefs in the order via the sales brief.
  • The KAM is responsible for getting company profiles from selection and submitting them to the Principal for review and approval and feeds back those approved and rejected.
  • The KAM manages the process of the CiK deliverables. Identifying Principal retention activities and/or events and informing the CiK team of them in the CiK meeting. They are then briefed in and ensures that they are produced and delivered to the Principal on time.
  • Delivery of the Principal’s verification pack.
  • Delivery of the entrepreneur frames.
  • Exploring other revenue streams within the Principal and getting a proposal to them if required.
  • Identifying all birthdays of the key people within the account and adding them to Salesforce. On their birthday, a birthday wish is sent to them and depending on the strategic importance of the person will depend on the device that is sent to the person. At minimum a birthday eCard is sent.
  • Attend Purple each week and execute on requests that come out of the meeting that pertain to the key accounts that have been allocated.
  • Attending the graduation and ignition of the cohort pertaining to the Principal.
  • In the event that an entrepreneur exits from the programme and needs to be replaced, the KAM will ensure that the replacements, are identified and presented to the Principal for approval.
  • If there are any ad hoc requests from the Principal, like the need for Raizcorp’s BBBEE certificate etc, the KAM will action these.
