We are looking for a sales superstar to work with our top German grocery customers (Edeka, Rewe, Kaufland) aiming to bring more Green into Germany’s “Waschküchen” and deliver sales and profit targets. Thanks to you, we will increase our market share by landing our innovation, distribution and promo-targets based on shopper insights and customer needs. All this supported by a strong relationship with your customers. You will be working directly with category management, brand, innovation, finance and supply chain to create and drive your customer strategy. You will be reporting into the grocery channel lead, and we want to you to build a dream team together

EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING:

  • Experience as Key Account Manager, preferably for FMCG in the German grocery (Lebensmitteleinzelhandel ) landscape. Experience as (regional) account manager with Edeka / Rewe / Kaufland is a big plus.
  • Profound knowledge of the German retail and FMCG category environment. You bring understanding what are the drivers for top- and bottom-line results and have proven success.
  • Strong communication skills enabling you to build report with a wide group of stakeholder, in smooth and also conflictual situations
  • Growth mindset: you are energized by hunting down growth opportunities. You are persistent to develop the business and yourself.
  • Analytical strength in particular towards customer calculations, pre- and post-evaluation of POS-activities and negotiation preparation. Thus, knowledge in excel, SAP, Nielsen is required.
  • Initial experience in negotiating independently
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Strategic thinker while being pragmatic and sales driven in the short term
  • Independent and self-driven, always looking for more insights, more growth opportunities (business & personal), you’re a self-starter who’s not afraid to get your hands dirty and stuff done
  • Comfortable in communicating with internal and external stakeholder

Responsibilities
  • Build and deliver a tailored plan to achieve sales targets addressing distribution and promotional opportunities, based on consumer needs and brand context
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with your clients to ensure long-term success. Act as the main point of contact between the company and key accounts.
  • Build compelling stories and sell with impact
  • Land our innovations OTIF with a strong eye on the details, in close collaboration with external and internal stakeholders
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to deliver profitable growth. Support Channel Lead Grocers during yearly national negotiation
  • Communicate progress of monthly/quarterly plans to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Hold yourself accountable for a highly accurate volume and financial foreast
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Sales, Marketing & Innovation teams, Finance and Supply Chain) to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Participate and lead own projects e.g. new product’s market introduction or cross functional processes optimization
