Description
For our Spanish market, we are looking for a Key Account Manager based in Madrid. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of large (international) key accounts in line with Lamb Weston’s long-term strategy and the customers’ growth ambitions. You will drive profitable, sustainable growth by developing and executing joint business plans, building strong multi-level relationships, and coordinating internally to deliver best-in-class commercial results. Your key responsibilities Key Account Sales Planning & Execution Contribute to the development and execution of Lamb Weston’s commercial strategy for Spain and international key accounts. Develop, execute, and continuously update annual Key Account Plans for existing and potential customers. Coordinate closely with Lamb Weston sales colleagues across countries to ensure a consistent approach to international customers. Deliver volume growth and margin development in line with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) Key Account Management Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers at multiple levels within customer organizations. Develop deep knowledge of customers’ strategies, structures, and market dynamics. Actively manage customer contacts through regular visits, calls, and reviews. Identify and convert customer needs into commercial opportunities for Lamb Weston. Prepare and negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and commercial agreements in line with company policies. Initiate promotions and value-added solutions to maximize sales opportunities. Contract Management Ensure contracts are in place, correctly implemented, and executed on time. Monitor service levels, volumes, pricing (NSP), CRM accuracy, and quality performance. Take corrective action where required to ensure contractual and commercial compliance. Market & Product Development Monitor market trends, competitive developments, and customer/consumer behavior in Spain and relevant international markets. Identify opportunities for new or improved products and services. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Lamb Weston and competitor portfolios. Collaborate with internal teams such as Marketing, Production, and Supply Chain. Commercial Predictability & Control Deliver accurate short- and long-term sales forecasts to ensure supply continuity. Analyze customer and commercial performance and initiate improvement actions. Maintain accurate CRM data, opportunity pipelines, and forecast accuracy. Your profile Bachelor’s degree (minimum). Proven experience in Sales, within Food, FMCG, or Foodservice. Strong English skills; Spanish fluency required. Strong commercial, financial, and negotiation skills. Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution capability. Comfortable operating in a multi-cultural, international environment.
