Job Title: Key Account Manager – Strategic Accounts
Location: Remote - United States - Travel Required
Department: Sales
Reports To: Executive Vice President of Sales
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a results-driven and relationship-oriented Key Account Manager (KAM) to manage and grow our designated Key Accounts, as identified by our Strategic Council. This is a role focused exclusively on nurturing existing high-potential customer relationships. The KAM will work to expand market share in both warehouse equipment and automation solutions within these accounts. The successful candidate will spend 50% or more of their time in the field, engaging directly with customer stakeholders.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience in Key Account Management, Sales, or Customer Success, preferably in warehouse equipment or related industrial sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in a relationship-focused sales role.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand storage and material flow solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver custom solutions.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities
  • Account Ownership: Manage a defined portfolio of key strategic accounts
  • Relationship Development: Identify and engage key decision-makers and influencers within each customer’s warehouse equipment and automation functions.
  • Solution Design: Work collaboratively with customers to understand operational challenges and develop tailored storage and material flow solutions.
  • Collaboration: Partner with internal teams including Estimating, Engineering, and Project Management to craft competitive, cost-effective proposals.
  • Growth Execution: Develop account strategies focused on growing wallet share, increasing customer satisfaction, and strengthening long-term partnerships.
  • Field Engagement: Spend 50%+ of working time on-site at customer locations, gathering insight, observing operations, and nurturing relationships.
  • Reporting & CRM: Maintain accurate and timely reporting of activities, opportunities, and key contacts in CRM and other reporting tools.
  • Strategic Input: Provide feedback to internal teams on customer needs, industry trends, and product/service improvements.
