Wedgelock designs and manufactures quick hitches used on excavators across the construction and civil works industry. We're looking for a Key Account Manager to grow and manage our most important customer relationships across Victoria.
This is a remote, field-based role - you'll be based in Victoria and out on the road with customers, reporting to the GM Sales - Australasia. A company car, laptop, and everything else you need to succeed in the role are provided.
About the Role
As Key Account Manager, you'll be the strategic link between Wedgelock and our key dealers, hire companies, and end-user customers across Victoria. You'll drive revenue growth, manage the sales territory, and ensure our clients get tailored, reliable solutions for their excavator needs.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across our end user customers, dealer and distribution network
- Develop and deliver sales forecasts, budgets, and plans for the Victorian territory
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the territory
- Drive sales through dealers, hire companies, and end-user customers
- Work closely with engineering, product support, and production teams to resolve customer needs and align inventory with demand
- Represent Wedgelock at trade shows and industry events
- Provide market feedback and competitive insights to support business strategy
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years' experience in a senior sales or key account role, ideally within construction, heavy equipment, or a related industry
- Strong understanding of sales and account management principles, including consultative and value-based selling
- Confident communicator, able to build relationships from the field to the boardroom
- Commercially minded, with the ability to analyse data and turn it into action
- Proficient with CRM systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Clean driving licence
