About the Role In this role, you will drive access and adoption of AstraZeneca’s innovative Oncology portfolio. You’ll collaborate closely with hospitals, payers, and healthcare professionals to create shared value and deliver better patient outcomes. Reporting to the Hematology Sales Manager, you’ll work with a talented cross-functional team including Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Marketing. Together, you’ll design local strategies, deliver educational initiatives, and build partnerships that position AstraZeneca as a trusted ally in the fight against cancer. This role combines science, strategy, and meaningful connection — giving you the opportunity to shape how our medicines reach patients who need them most. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement account plans that align with AstraZeneca’s Hematology strategy. Build and maintain long-term partnerships with Hematologists, pharmacists, hospital administrators, and decision-makers. Engage in scientific discussions about product efficacy, safety, and treatment pathways. Identify and deliver opportunities that improve diagnosis, access, and quality of care. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated and customer-focused solutions. Achieve sales objectives within your assigned territory and manage resources responsibly. Use digital and omnichannel tools to engage stakeholders effectively. Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations. Essential Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or a related field. Pharmaceutical sales experience, ideally in Oncology or another specialty area. Proven Key Account Management experience with senior healthcare stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Collaborative and proactive approach to working in cross-functional teams. Proficiency in Portuguese and English (spoken and written). Desirable Skills & Experience Postgraduate degree or further certification in Science, Business, or Healthcare Management. Proven sales experience in Hematology— experience in this area is a strong plus. Additional experience across other therapeutic areas such as Oncology is also valuable. Familiarity with the Portuguese Hematology ecosystem, including pathways for diagnosis and treatment. Experience interpreting and using health economics or outcomes data. Familiarity with digital and omnichannel engagement approaches.
