Purpose of the Role BGIS is seeking an experienced Key Accounts Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of building compliance across a key client portfolio. Reporting directly to the Contract Manager, you will work closely with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure statutory, OHS, and contractual compliance is consistently achieved. This role plays a critical part in maintaining regulatory standards, managing compliance systems, and strengthening long-term client relationships while promoting a culture of safety and accountability. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in managing compliance obligations while engaging professionally with stakeholders at all levels. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain compliance with relevant New Zealand legislation, including the Building Act 2004 Oversee OHS compliance, audits, incident responses, and complaint management Manage compliance schedules, including oversight of all Building Warrant of Fitness (BWoF) requirements through to anniversary dates Provide technical advice and support on compliance-related matters Review, maintain, and recommend updates to compliance documentation, policies, and procedures Contribute to budget preparation and compliance-related forecasting Build and foster strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal BGIS teams Ensure contractual, reporting, meeting, and OHS obligations are met in line with client expectations Education, Experience & Skills Essential: Proven experience in New Zealand building compliance and legislation, including the Building Act 2004 Experience in contract management and/or key account management Strong knowledge of current OHS and QA legislation and systems Demonstrated experience working in building compliance and facilities-related environments Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management skills High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple compliance requirements concurrently Desirable: Experience with environmental compliance systems Exposure to facilities management, government, healthcare, or commercial portfolios Formal training or certifications in health & safety or compliance Workplace Flexibility This position will initially be based on-site and at client locations in Auckland.
