ABOUT THE ROLE Job Purpose: As a Key Account Specialist for Oncology, you will play a key role in executing cross-functional initiatives and projects across Commercial, Market Access, Patient Centricity, KAM, and Diagnostics. You will champion patient-centric care and elevate engagement with healthcare professionals and internal teams to deliver impactful solutions that enhance patient journeys, support earlier diagnosis, and drive adoption of AstraZeneca’s oncology portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement local account plans (TAPs) to exceed sales targets and HCP engagement goals. Engage oncology HCPs to present approved indications and scientific data to support appropriate prescribing. Champion a patient-centric approach by identifying and addressing gaps in the patient journey. Collaborate with diagnostics teams to optimize testing solutions and improve outcomes. Align with market access and payer teams to deliver value-driven solutions to stakeholders. Work with marketing and brand teams to tailor strategies to local customer needs. Lead impactful, science-based discussions in rep-led meetings with HCPs and decision-makers. Identify new business opportunities within multidisciplinary teams and healthcare systems. Ensure high standards of compliance and uphold AstraZeneca’s ethical values. Provide continuous feedback to cross-functional teams on market trends, HCP insights, and strategic opportunities. Job Requirements: Essential Criteria: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Dentistry, Medicine, or a related scientific field. 2+ years of experience in a similar position in a multinational company. Experience in Hematology and/or in a specialty portfolio (Oncology and/or Rare Disease) within a multinational pharmaceutical company is a must. Strong understanding of Diagnostics and Market Access. Strong understanding of Compliance and Medical Governance. Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Veeva) and daily reporting procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong communication skills, including presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with excellence in execution. Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and resilience. Proactive, innovative mindset with a passion for customer insight and strategy development. Proven track record of working effectively within cross-functional teams. Strong influencing skills in complex environments to drive performance. Skilled in gathering and translating stakeholder insights into actionable strategies. Strong customer orientation with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term relationships.
