KEY ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE

We are looking for a Key Accounts Executive to join our business reporting into our Sales Director for Garden Centres. Required to provide support to the commercial team to ensure all levels of customer needs & requirements are met daily.

Responsibilities

This is a permanent position. Reporting to the Sales Director for Garden Centres, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration such as managing customer specific data, communication with both key account stakeholders and internal departments, creating and managing data, spreadsheets and presentations, and compiling reports. This is a very varied and fast paced role where no two days are the same. The ideal candidate will have experience in administration or sales support in a B2B environment.
A typical day in your role will involve:
- Working with the Sales Director to update & monitor customer project timelines and make sure key deadlines are met
- To keep a vision of what is important, instead of concentrating on the urgent, working on achieving those goals, realising the urgent should never take away the attention spent on the important
- To effectively manage your time to deliver the desired performance
- Focus on delivering excellent levels of service through each customer, ensuring the communication needs for each account is prioritised
- Complete all customer product information forms, data requests and any other information required within the SLA of 24 hours
- Work closely with all functions to best serve customer bases (Marketing, Product, Customer Service, Supply, Finance)
- Maintain database of account information: Trading Terms, Contacts, Pricing, Product Range, imagery & any other key administrative files
- Manage customer sample requirements, including receiving, reviewing, packing, and despatching as required
- Help to prepare and create presentation documents - Excel or PowerPoint
- Attend internal meetings and take detailed minutes (occasional UK Travel may be required)
- Assist in Range Mapping through all relevant categories
- Market research for competitor analysis and benchmarking
- Ensure a consistent process improvement approach
- Any other duties appropriate to the position as required by the line manager
