Description

The Key Accounts Manager, West is responsible for managing and growing all accounts in the given region plus contributing to sales-related marketing initiatives. The Key Accounts Manager, West will be responsible for coordinating cross selling efforts with specific key accounts located in different states. The individual is expected to contribute to the overall goal of exceeding sales targets. The successful candidate will actively seek out new product opportunities across all Pion product lines and work through partners to increase visibility of Pion’s brand throughout the territory.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. Ability to travel up to 60%
  2. Valid driver’s license and passport

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences field, Chemistry preferred
  2. MBA a plus
  3. 1-3 years’ experience in a lab setting required
  4. 3-5 years’ experience in a technical sales role required

Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for accounts in the assigned territory to attain, recapture and expand specific targets.
  2. Participate in discovery for high impact opportunities.
  3. Follow-up and track all potential leads originating from web downloads, telephone calls, media advertising, press releases and scientific meetings & seminars to discuss, promote, demonstrate and sell products and services.
  4. Intelligently prospect for new customers amongst our existing contacts and new prospects along with cross selling between the legacy businesses.
  5. Manage strategic partnerships for field service and instrumentation.
  6. Interface with marketing to help implement plans and initiatives for the benefit of the commercial team.
  7. Achieve set budgets/sales/margin targets and goals.
  8. Attend weekly and monthly sales meetings and marketing meetings.
  9. Attain up-to-date product, applications knowledge and a general knowledge of our customers by reading, attending relevant scientific based meetings and relevant product training courses.
  10. Provide feedback on any observed market trends, competitive information etc. to the CEO and marketing manager.
  11. Engage with Pion’s sales process, sales accountability, and CRM in a meaningful way for the benefit of the individual and Pion.
