Description

Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer complaints or issues
- Train and supervise sales associates to ensure they meet sales targets and provide excellent customer service
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training new employees
- Monitor inventory levels and order merchandise as needed

Experience:

- Experience in recruiting, training, and developing a team of employees
- Multilingual skills are a plus, especially in a diverse retail environment
- Knowledge of wireless sales industry trends and best practices

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certified Pokémon Professor status (active).
  • Extensive knowledge of Pokémon TCG and other major trading card games.
  • Retail or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and event days.

  • Handle escalations around TCG shortages, preorder allocations, or trade disputes with professionalism.

  • Run in-store Pokémon/TCG tournaments or community play nights.
  • Partner with regional/national TCG leagues if possible to increase traffic and loyalty.

SPECIALIZED TCG/COLLECTIBLES KNOWLEDGE

  • Product Knowledge & Expertise
  • Understand Pokémon set releases, rarity tiers, sealed vs singles, and what drives demand.
  • Recognize counterfeit cards, condition grading basics, and how value fluctuates in the TCG market.
  • Knowledge of Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and emerging TCGs helps broaden customer engagement.
  • Community-Building Skills
  • Organize and promote in-store TCG nights, launch parties, and tournaments.
  • Build partnerships with local schools, hobby clubs, and online communities.
  • Use social media (local store Instagram/Facebook groups) to drive awareness of events.
