Steamworks Toronto is a private men’s gym, sauna, and bathhouse for men 18 years and older… you know, men looking for other men!
The Lead Clerk oversees the way the club runs. It is his knowledge and the shared knowledge of his coworkers that determines how efficiently all staff members performs their job duties to enhance and make our member’s visits and your work experience enjoyable.
The Lead Clerk is in command when the Manager on Duty (MOD) is not available. Keeps open communication with your MOD concerning any problems with members or staff.
Provide excellent standards in the execution of leading your team and in the operation of the club. Maintain a professional attitude with all customers, employees, and any city officials that you may be in contact with. Monitor any infractions of company policy regarding poor behavior of customers and employees alike and provide documentation to the Manager on Duty, General Manager or Assistant Manager.
· Coordinate solutions quickly when guests experience problems in their room by working with housekeeping and/or service staff.
· Act as access control for the doors, only granting access to appropriate people
· Control flow of money from Lead safe
· Ensure employee breaks are taken properly
· Control the lost and found station, tag items appropriately
· Ensure supplies are properly stocked for your shift and the next
· Settle the facility register at the end of each shift or day by counting the drawer, printing receipts and running financial activity reports.
· Welcome guests and visitors to the front lobby of the facility, record their information and choose a room or rooms for them based on their needs.
· Collect the guest’s payment using either credit/debits cards, cash or checking account information for rooms at the end of each stay and ask for a room deposit when necessary.
· Communicate with other hotel staff, such as housekeeping or maintenance, when rooms are damaged. Put rooms and lockers out of service when needed.
Apply de-escalation techniques for customers and employees when needed
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.50-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
