The Key Lead assists the store manager in overseeing daily operations, deploying staff, and ensuring a great customer experience through prompt service and quality products. This role also involves maintaining store standards and acting in alignment with Sessions Cannabis guidelines. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivery tasks, ensuring safe and timely transport of products to customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 year retail management experience, 3-5 years customer service.
  • Valid CannSell certification, 19+, clear background check.
  • Availability for shifts between 8:30 am to 11:30 pm, Monday to Sunday.
  • Knowledge of cannabis products is a plus.

SKILLS:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Stand for extended periods and lift up to 25lbs.
  • Perform tasks related to stocking and store maintenance.
  • Ability to navigate and drive safely in various weather conditions.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities
  • Uphold Sessions Cannabis values with integrity.
  • Maintain calm during busy or unusual events.
  • Anticipate and address customer/store needs, communicate with management.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to staff.
  • Ensure smooth operations, including opening/closing duties and cash handling.
  • Monitor customer service standards and celebrate team achievements.
  • Assist with inventory audits, merchandising, and discrepancies.
  • Educate customers on cannabis products and safety.
  • Check IDs for customers appearing 30 years old or younger.
  • Safely transport cannabis products from the store to customers’ locations.
  • Verify customer identification upon delivery to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Ensure the safe handling of cannabis products during transport to prevent damage or contamination.
  • Adhere to all local, provincial, and federal transportation laws and regulations.
  • Maintain the delivery vehicle in a clean and safe condition.
  • Report any issues or incidents during deliveries to management promptly.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
