JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and resilient Key Worker to join our team at Poles APart, an Alternative Provision supporting Children and Young People who are unable to access mainstream education. This role consists of supporting Children and Young People across Key Stages 1 to 4 (Years 1 to 11). This is a great opportunity to make a difference by helping students overcome challenges and thrive in a nurturing, supportive environment.
As a Key Worker, you are vital in supporting students with complex needs, including Social, Emotional, Behavioural and Mental Health challenges. Your focus will be building positive, trusting relationships with learners, helping them to develop the skills and confidence needed to re-engage with education and achieve their full potential.
You will provide 1:1 and small group support, work collaboratively with teaching staff, families and external agencies to create positive outcomes for each learner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to individual students or small groups.
  • Support students to engage in learning and achieve their educational and personal goals.
  • Monitor students progress, attendance, behaviour and emotional wellbeing by keeping accurate and timely records to present to staff, parents/carers.
  • Foster a safe, respectful and nurturing environment that promotes personal development and growth.
  • Liaise with multi-agency professionals.
