Position: | KGH Security Supervisor – Full Time
Site: | Kingston General Hospital (KGH) - 76 Stuart St
Hours: | 2 day, 2 night, 12-hour rotation 0800-2000/2000-0800
Payrate: | $29.77/hour

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C Certificate (WSIB-approved provider)
• Ability to be clean-shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
• Valid G Driver’s License
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum double dose)
• Proof of immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Pertussis, TB skin tests – Step 1 & 2)
• English proficiency (oral & written)
• Commitment to full-time availability for at least 6 months
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

NICE-TO-HAVE (PREFERRED SKILLS):

• 1+ year of healthcare security experience
• 1+ year of security supervisor experience
• Bilingual (English/French)
• 6+ months of customer service experience
• Stay Safe certification (or willingness to complete it)

ABOUT THE ROLE:

KGH is seeking a Security Supervisor to provide leadership and ensure the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors. In this role, you will oversee shift operations, conduct patrols, supervise emergency situations, and ensure all security processes and reporting are completed to the highest standard.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducting regular patrols throughout the facility
• Ensuring completion of all shift paperwork
• Assigning and overseeing staff duties (patrols, audits, etc.)
• Training and mentoring new staff
• Scheduling replacement staff when absences occur
• Reviewing and finalizing incident reports
• Conducting key audits
• Supervising emergency response situations (fire, flood, power outage, etc.)
• Completing other assigned security tasks
