Kidney Smart Educator

Kidney Smart Educators perform an important role in giving CKD participants the gift of education. This position will help cover our clinics in the Queens and Long Island boroughs.

Education Delivery:

• Engage the community with focus on key actions toward improved health outcomes for CKD participants through a classroom environment
• Explain complex health concepts for participants in an easy-to-understand manner, using the most recently approved versions of the Kidney Smart curriculum(curriculum and educator guide)
• Skilled in working with a wide variety of participants who may be challenged in hearing, sight, and mobility
• Keep the Kidney Smart Program safe by following all Kidney Smart Program Requirements as indicated in the compliance policy and Educator Resource Manua

Educational and Clinical Requirements:

• Clinical experience (kidney care preferred)
• Educators must be certified and/or licensed healthcare professionals and must be able to present proof of license or certification upon onboarding as an educator

. • Skilled in reviewing, educating and answering questions on all modality options for dialysis including, transplant, hemodialysis, PD and HHD
