Job Details Job Location: Active Wellness Center at NorthBay Health - Vacaville, CA 95687 Position Type: Part Time Salary Range: $17.00 - $18.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: None Pay Transparency: $17.00 - $18.00/hour (DOE) Role and Responsibilities The Kids Camp Coach is responsible for running the camp activities and ensuring a great customer service experience. The Kids Camp Coach should be responsive to the Active Kids Lead, participants, and parents, and create a fun and safe environment. Specific Responsibilities Essential Functions Responsible for setup and cleanup for camp equipment. Plan, organize, teach, and participate in games, sports, crafts, songs, and other camp activities. Actively supervise children during all camp activities, including while eating, and when transitioning between activities. Ensure camp check-in and check-out procedures are followed. Maintain positive staff, manager, and parent relationships. Ensure an excellent customer experience for all participants. Maintain clean and safe camp spaces and supervise camp participants with attention to safety, cleanliness, and engagement. Attend trainings, meetings, and other employee events as scheduled. Administer emergency care to members and guests in need of assistance. Work as a TEAM with all other departments. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor. Other Functions Assist Marketing Coordinator in promoting and marketing camps through phone calls, marketing materials, and event promotions. Respond to all communication in a timely manner. Be knowledgeable about and promote all programs and activities offered by Active Wellness. Perform routine maintenance of camp equipment. Assist with keeping the club well stocked and clean. Attend Active Wellness site meetings and training. Handle injury and illness and security incident reporting Qualifications Qualifications and Education Requirements Must enjoy working with kids. Must be/become California Department of Social Services Guardian/Trustline registered/eligible (Active Wellness pays the application fee only). Previous camp experience a plus. Must be detail oriented, organized and highly responsive with a commitment to customer service. Strong verbal communication skills. Basic computer skills, customer service skills, results oriented, ability to multitask, and commitment to the fitness industry. AED/CPR/First Aid Certified. Proof of citizenship or legal status. Physical and Working Conditions Work schedule must align with the needs of the Club and camps. Ability to take the responsibility for the health and safety of others. Ability to stand for several hours in a same shift; ability to lift 25 lbs. Fitness club environment. Must follow Cal/OSHA and Active Wellness safety standards.
