Description Millbrook Golf and Tennis Club is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Kids Club Counselors. As a Counselor, you will be responsible for facilitating activities for children ages 4-12 years old. You will play a vital role in creating a safe, positive, and fun environment for campers to learn, grow, and have fun. Requirements Facilitate, organize, and lead a variety of age-appropriate activities, games, and crafts. Ensure the safety and well-being of kids by following established safety protocols and procedures Supervise kids during all activities, including meal and snack times. Develop positive relationships with kids, parents, and fellow staff members Serve as a positive role model for kids by demonstrating respect, responsibility, and a positive attitude Communicate effectively with Kids Club Director on progress, behavior, and any concerns Assist with daily set-up and clean-up Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education, recreation, or related field preferred Prior experience working with children in a camp, kids club or recreational setting Ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong organizational and time-management skills CPR and First Aid certification preferred Ability to pass a background check Schedule: This is a seasonal position that runs from June 26, 2023 to July 28, 2023. Kids Club staff hours are typically Monday-Friday, 8:15 am-3:00 pm. Some evening and weekend work may be required for special events or field trips. Additional positions to create a full summer work schedule are also available. Physical Demands: The Kids Club Counselor must be able to stand, walk, and move about for extended periods of time. The counselor must also be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Counselors are responsible for facilitating age-appropriate activities and games for children while ensuring their safety and well-being. They also maintain positive relationships with children and parents while assisting with daily operational tasks like set-up and clean-up.
