Description This is a position designed for high school students ages 14-16 who are interested in working with kids and enjoy being on the mountain. If you are looking for a job on weekends and holidays, and love to ski or snowboard, this is the one for you! You will receive on the job training on the day to day operations of the Kids Club, and how a ski school functions. Requirements Assist in set up of Kids Club room; assist instructors in teaching skiing and/or snowboarding to our young guests in an effective and enthusiastic manner. Set up inside Kids Club area. Assign children a cubby. Accurately fit children with boots, helmets and equipment. Help children transition into Kids Club program. Play with and take care of younger children in Snow Play program under assigned supervisor. Help children get ready to go outside. Group students in one area until the Instructor is ready. Assist Instructors outside with students. Assist students using the Magic Carpet. Set up, serve and assist children with lunch. Clean up after. Assist students at check-out time. Follow safety procedures to sign them out to parent/guardian. Clean Kids Club room at conclusion of lessons. Actively participate in RLK and Company’s Health & Safety Program by identifying and reporting potential hazards, reporting incidents, and promoting a healthy workplace Exercise stewardship of all RLK and Company facilities and environments, ensuring that efforts are made to reduce, reuse, and recycle when the opportunity is present. Exercise sound judgment and awareness regarding language, behavior, and dress and grooming. Regular and reliable attendance. QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrate excellent guest service skills at all times. Must have sufficient reading and writing skills. Must be able to move quickly with agility. Must be able to work well with others. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Must be able to stand for 2-4 hours at a time. Must be able to bend and twist. Must be able to walk on snow and icy conditions to and from Magic Carpet area. Must be able to shovel snow of all types, in all conditions, every day.
Responsibilities
Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Kids Club and support instructors in teaching skiing and snowboarding to young guests. Engage with children in various activities and ensure their safety and enjoyment during the program.
